SDCC: SAC Photo Post

Members of the Sequential Art Collective (including executive boardsters Matt. Murray, Allan Dorison, Jennifer Babcock and key supporter David Wasserman) were pretty busy this past week networking, geeking out and just being general nuisances at the San Diego Comic Con.

For those who aren’t friends of ours individually on facebook (where most of these pics were originally published), below are some highlights from our exploits.

Al Dave Welcome

A calm before the storm of people.  Al and David got into town days before the show to relax and actually see some of San Diego.

Al interview

During preview night, Al was interviewed by Showtime for their coverage on the Con.  It ran on Sunday July 26th during an airing of Dexter.

Matt. waited for hours at the Mattel booth for He-Ro, but was made to leave the line as he had professional credentials.  Matt. waited for hours in line to see the Disney 3-D panel, only to be locked out by Twilight fans saving seats for a panel 3 hours later.  Matt. stood in line for an hour for coffee…  That he actually got.

Dave Foray

David with legendary voice-over artist June Foray.  She was promoting her memoirs Did You Grow Up with Me, Too? which went on sale exclusively at the Van Eaton Galleries booth on Friday.

Paul Taylor

This is Paul Taylor, the man behind Waspi Square, and a personal friend of Jen’s.

Jenterprise

We all took turns in the Captain’s chair of the Enterprise, but Jen’s photo was the only one we could publish here with any kind of conscience.

Matt smurfs

Matt. with a very familiar looking group of people.

Monsters vs Al and Jen

Monsters vs. Aliens vs. SAC.

Al Emily

Who’s stranger — Emily or Al?

Jen Bunny

Anyone who reads C’est la Vie knows that Jen has a rabbit fetish.  But did she really have to tongue the guy?

Matt Burnett

Matt. with Alan Burnett who wrote for The Smurfs from 1982-87, and is currently a writer and producer for Warner Premiere’s DC Universe direct-to-video features.

liefeld

The gang with Rob Liefeld.  Where did everyone’s hands and feet go?

Matt Wanted

Artist Steve Ellis and writer David Gallaher had one of the bext freebies at the show – personalized “Wanted” posters promoting their comic High Moon – a western/hooro hybrid available at Zuda.

Jim Roast

Matt. and Al went to the Roast of Lloyd Kaufman, where their buddy Jim Salicrup got the most laughs…

Al Jim

But their support of Jim couldn’t stop Al from being kicked out of the Papercutz booth the following day.
